MUST USE ROCK CREEK ROAD** 

 

Directions from Sacramento on Hwy 50:
• In Placerville, at the second stoplight (Spring St./Hwy 49), turn left.
• Go one block to the stop sign and turn left again to stay on Hwy 49.
• Drive about 1 mile, then turn right onto Hwy 193.
• Continue for 3.1 miles and turn right onto Rock Creek Road.
• Follow Rock Creek Road for 8.9 miles. Finnon Lake Campground and the Diner will be on your left.
• The campground is located behind the Diner.


Directions from Tahoe (heading west on Hwy 50):
• In Placerville, turn right onto Hwy 49 North.
• Then follow the same directions as above. 


DIRECTIONS TO FINNON LAKE AND "SMOKE ON THE WATER" DINER 

 9100 Rock Creek Road, Placerville, CA 95667 

There are only 2 routes to Finnon Lake. 

via Rock Creek Rd. or

Mosquito Rd.


 MOSQUITO ROAD 

 **NO TRAILERS OR RVS  ARE ALLOWED ON 

Mosquito Road** 

YOU WILL NOT FIT AND WILL HAVE TO TURN AROUND OR BACK UP TO TAKE ROCK CREEK ROAD

From HWY 50 East:

 To Broadway, turn right on Broadway.  Make a right on Mosquito Road and follow Mosquito Road to Finnon Lake/"Smoke on the Water " Diner 

From HWY 50 West:

 Take the Mosquito Road exit to follow Mosquito Road to Finnon Lake.  

Please stay on your side of the road. When you get to the one-lane Bridge, please stop and see if anyone is coming over.  If so, please pull to the side of the road and wait. The etiquette is that each side gets a turn. There is only one car on the bridge at a time.
